Having met in the Dutch underground music scene, Chay Sauvage and Orang Jésus Goreng discovered a shared taste in (a.o.) early 80s Australian monkey music. After leaving their bands, Chay approached Goreng to produce her songs "in the general direction of the triangle Scientists - 16 Horsepower - Grinderman". The project rapidly evolved into a collaborative songwriting/recording effort.
